X FACTOR SPORTS MEDIA LAUNCHED TO PROVIDE BRANDING AND NEW MEDIA STRATEGIES FOR PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR ATHLETES

X Factor Sports Media helps athletes strengthen their personal brands and maximize earning potential by leveraging new media and social marketing opportunities that best reach the new age of connected sports fans.

Windsor, California, February 25, 2008 – X Factor Sports Media, a new branding and public relations agency for professional and amateur athletes, was launched today. The company helps athletes and athletic organizations understand and benefit from the numerous opportunities offered by today's new media and social marketing opportunities.

“Even with the overall economic slowdown in our country, endorsement and sponsorship opportunities for athletes and athletic organizations are expected to grow in 2008,” stated Dean Fisk, president of X Factor Sports Media. “Through communications vehicles such as blogs, viral videos and sites such as Facebook and MySpace, we can connect our clients and their passions with like-minded audiences. The strong and personal bonds created by this approach are very attractive to potential sponsors.”

The amount of information available to sports fans has increased significantly over the last few years through the growth of sports-specific Web sites, blogs and broadcast channels. In addition, social networking sites have provided an easy way for fans to connect with each other and their favorite teams and athletes. X Factor helps athletes use these vehicles to strengthen their personal brands and connect with the right fans and audiences in order to achieve their business goals, such as increased endorsement opportunities and greater exposure and donations for their charitable interests.

"Some athletes have already started to embrace these new media vehicles and their early adoption has paid off," continued Fisk.  "Just recently Chris Bosh received national attention and boosted his standing in the NBA all star balloting with a creative video that spread virally on YouTube.  And never short of an opinion, Curt Schilling's blog has become a target of national media attention and serves as a window into his thoughts and dealings.  At X Factor we are looking to expand the role of new media and bring these types of results to a broader base of athletes."
